Talking Frames

Talking frames can help students structure their oral language, by offering sentence starters and prompts. They can be easily devised and recorded on the board for students to use during oral language. For example: ‘My leaf is … It has …’

These frames also support writing, as students become competent structuring their talk and using ‘written language’ patterns.
